Yanchep Beach Joint Venture (YBJV)

As the region’s premier master commercial developer, the Yanchep Beach Joint Venture (YBJV) plays a pivotal leadership and development role for one of Australia’s largest and most transformative urban development projects, the Yanchep Project. Although the JV has a total project area exceeding 600ha, its current focus is a 106ha site development that will become the future Yanchep Central Business District (CBD).

The new Yanchep CBD will be built around the proposed Yanchep Railway Station (expected in 2022) and will deliver more than 20,000 new jobs to the locality. The Yanchep, Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurial Hub, or Y.hub for short, is a YBJV initiative that brings together tertiary institutions, government and business to facilitate and grow social and economic capacity. The principal objective of the Y.hub is to generate economic and social activity capable of being scaled up for relocation to the new CBD.

Meet the Team

Paul Leone

Paul is a community and economic development professional. In addition to being a qualified tradesperson, he has a strong background in management, finance and stakeholder engagement. Paul has academic interests in behavioural finance, economic development and small-to-medium enterprise.

He believes coworking provides opportunities for entrepreneurship and innovation that are truly exciting. Paul is a classically trained musician, but he has never let that get in his way. Both Paul and his electric guitar have occasionally been seen (and heard) performing across Perth. Paul’s employer politely suggested that he not give up his day job.
